North Korea is supposedly preparing to develop its own cryptocurrency to dodge the strict international sanctions crippling its economy, VICE News reports. The project was announced by Alejandro Cao de Benos, the head of “Korean Friendship Association,” a group that seeks to promote international relations with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). Cao de Benos told reporters that the token won’t be a digitized version of the North Korean Won, but that they’re still figuring out exactly what will give it value. He also said it’ll be “more like Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies,” which makes almost no sense and should be…

Google is officially embracing the super-app strategy popularized by WeChat and Go-Jek, with its Google Pay app in India. The internet giant is launching its new Spot platform, powered by its popular digital payments service. Huawei launched its new flagship, the Mate 30 Pro, today in Munich. The device features a waterfall display and quad-camera setup on the back with a huge 40-megapixel primary sensor. The Chinese manufacturer’s latest offering has a 6.53-inch full HD+ flex OLED ‘horizon’ display with curves at an 88-degrees angle. The device is powered by the company’s own Kirin 990 5G chipset launched earlier this month at IFA Berlin. Huawei has ditched the volume button. Instead, it uses invisible virtual keys on either side of the device to adjust the volume. Vivo’s new Nex 3 has also ditched physical volume buttons…

With this, you won’t need to provide your actual debit card number or a physical card. The company claims this method is more secure than using your card. Over the next few weeks, the tokenized card…
