At its WWDC event yesterday, Apple revealed the major new features coming to iOS 12. If the presentation got you all hot and bothered, you’ll be happy to know that you can now get your grubby paws on the beta preview. The official route requires you to be signed up for the Apple Developer Program so you can get it today; the public beta will arrive later this month. If you can’t wait, you can try Apple blogger Sam Henri’s method. Naturally, you’ll want to proceed with caution and back up your data before trying this out. It’s also worth…

Watch Tim Draper ‘rap’ about Bitcoin at #TNW2018

Tim Draper, American venture capital investor and a known name in the cryptocurrency industry, was speaking at the TNW Conference last month when he did something that confirmed his position as the biggest Bitcoin nerd of all. Justina Lee from Bloomberg was interviewing Draper, when she asked her final question: “How will blockchain change the world?”. Draper responded, “Well, okay. Here, I have got to go to my notes.” Donning his signature Bitcoin tie, Draper whipped up his phone and – to the amusement of the audience – started spitting some fire rhymes. Lee was so impressed by Draper’s performance, that…

Now that everything can be tokenized, banks are taking notice

There is an estimated $256 trillion worth of assets in existence. These include gold, oil, stocks, and real estate, among other things, which people are investing in all around the world. Notably, though, many of these assets are still illiquid, physically difficult to subdivide or transfer, and are transacted via a paper trail. Today, how people see and trade these assets is becoming outdated as a new form of managing assets takes shape. With the advent of the blockchain, asset ownership is slowly beginning to move from analog to digital. Over the last year, the launch of countless initial coin…

Republic Of Gamers (ROG) – ASUS’ gaming brand – has announced its first ever phone. Can you guess what it’s called? Go on, have a go. Have any thoughts? Yep, you got it, the ROG phone. Unsurprisingly – it does come from an arm of ASUS called Republic Of Gamers after all – the main focus of the device is, uh, gaming. As you’d expect, the device is pumped with as much firepower as Chinese New Year (a 2.96GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 CPU, a Qualcomm Adreno 630 GPU, 8GB RAM and an AMOLED HDR display, if you’re interested). It also…

Launching a new automotive brand in India is no mean feat, and the challenge becomes even more difficult when you plan to exclusively offer electric vehicles. Bangalore-based Ather believes it’s up to the task, and it’s ready to test its faith with the launch of its first creations today. At an event in the city, the company unveiled two electric two-wheelers, the Ather 340 and Ather 450. They promise a range of 60 km and 75 km on a single charge respectively, top speeds of 80 kmph and 70 kmph, and come with a 7-inch touchscreen for navigation. Ather is…
