We know now that Google is releasing its new Pixel phones on October 9. The company will mostly release two phones on that date: the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL. But there is a crazy conspiracy theory floating around that there might be a third Pixel or Google, is playing us on with a bigger con. The Pixel 3 XL leaks have given us a peek at the design, specifications, box contents, and even early camera samples. And it is clear that no one likes the gigantic notch. However, this one YouTuber is speculating that Google might have fooled us.…

If you thought that all those initial coin offerings (ICOs) that raised millions of dollars in cryptocurrency are busy spending that money on development in pursuit of delivering on their promises, you’d be wrong. Cryptocurrency insights firm Diar has revealed that companies which undertook an ICO before the last quarter of 2017 are sitting on huge cash reserves that could potentially fuel the startup for the next few years. The total amount of Ethereum held in treasury by blockchain startups currently amounts to 3,744,651 ETH (or roughly $733,614,577 as of September 9). For context, this accounts for 3.7 percent of…

Look, LinkedIn sucks. You know it, I know it, even humans grown in huge Matrix-style vats somehow intrinsically grasp that LinkedIn. Is. Not. A Good. Thing. But, like with other Bad Things (think bros, country music fans, and nazis), LinkedIn has its own particular and peculiar aesthetic. This is perfectly encapsulated in one circular inch of pixels on almost every page of the site. We’re talking, of course, about the famed LinkedIn photo. During an office conversation, we got to thinking: what do the LinkedIn profiles photos of LinkedIn execs look like? How LinkedIn are they? Are they the most…

Posted In: Around the Web, Plugged

Apple is set to follow up its 10th anniversary iPhone X with a bunch of variants at its keynote event tomorrow. We’re expecting to see three different sizes of the company’s notched handset, the Apple Watch Series 4, and hopefully a few interesting accessories. The best place to follow along is right here on TNW, where we’ll cover the announcements as they happen. If you want to tune in and watch it live, here’s how and when you can do…
