The cryptocurrency and blockchain industry has had a particularly turbulent year. In January Bitcoin prices were well over $18,000, and in December dropped below $4,000. It seems impossible to make any reasoned judgement as to what prices the market will hold next. That said, when it comes to broader trends in the market, 2018 has seen a number of precedents that might spell the start of some future trends for the industry. Here are Hard Fork’s top non-price expectations for the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry in 2019. The SEC will come down hard on “influencers” The Securities and Exchange Commission…

You probably know of the Marshall brand of guitar amplifiers, which have been rocking clubs and arenas since the 60s. With the help of Sweden-based firm Zound Industries, the brand expanded to launch consumer products like headphones and wireless speakers a couple of years ago; its instantly recognizable moniker and stage-ready aesthetic have helped it gain a foothold in the saturated audio gear space. I recently received the company’s $300 Kilburn II Bluetooth stereo speaker, a chunky piece of kit that delivers satisfying sound, and is designed to travel with you – if you’ve got room in your boot, that…

Posted In: Around the Web, Contributors

As more and more businesses create stand-alone branded mobile apps, competition for user attention is fiercer than ever. You can’t simply create an app for the sake of it and expect your customers to download and engage with it. You need to design something that truly adds value to a user’s life — something that gives them a reason to keep using it every day. The experts of Young Entrepreneur Council know it’s not easy to keep mobile app users for the long haul, but there are some key tactics that can help you. Apple should implement this cool ‘environmentally-lit’ UI effect in iOS

Jan04
by Sindy Cator on January 4, 2019 at 7:28 am
Posted In: Around the Web

This map informs the lighting effects that you can see on the…
