I’ll put this out there, I think treat cameras like the Furbo and Petcube are great. These nifty little devices allow pet owners to keep an eye on (and interact with) their beloved animals. It’s a wonderful idea. But, unless your pet can talk (which would be awesome by the way), I’m not sure why these type of products need Alexa. Let’s backtrack a bit. Today at CES, Petcube announced the launch of two more cool products: the Petcube Bites 2 and the Petcube Play 2. They look like this: Almost every part of the update is great. Both devices have…

House of Marley today announced it was entering the smart speaker space with the Google Assistant-powered Get Together Mini. The assistant, which was announced at the CES event in Las Vegas, looks genuinely gorgeous, and is something that you arguably wouldn’t mind having sat on your kitchen table. According to the manufacturer, it was built with sustainability in mind, combining bamboo and recyclable aluminum alongside a fabric that mixes organic cotton, hemp, and recycled rPET plastics. This is in line with what we’ve seen from other House of Marley speakers in the past. The company is known for its heavy…

You might remember Wong Ching-Kit, the self-styled Bitcoin ‘millionaire’ behind last month’s outlandish publicity stunt, which saw thousands of dollars rain from the sky in one of Hong Kong‘s poorest neighbourhoods. Well, four angry blockchain speculators have accused Wong of cheating them out of HK$3 million ($380K), after purchasing his special (and ultimately worthless) cryptocurrency mining machines, reports South China Morning Post. The equipment was supposedly tailored specifically for Wong’s new cryptocurrency and were sold with promises the rigs would return a profit within three months. Unfortunately, such a premise only holds weight if the cryptocurrency mined by the machines is…

If you’ve ever created a podcast – or looked into doing so – I bet you’ll know Blue. Today at CES, it announced the launch of a new XLR condenser microphone: the Ember. If you don’t know what XLR is, it’s a type of connection used across much audio equipment. It looks like this: If you’ve ever been in a band, tried your hand at DJ-ing, or helped set-up any event with an audio system, I’m…
