Travel app TRVL is offering Trump-shaped stress balls to travelers heading to Mexico, as a reward for those visiting in spite of damaging rhetoric from the US president. The item looks about how you’d expect: a recreation of the President’s head in squishy foam form. The company has 1,000 balls to give away, and they’re available to any traveler who books a trip to Mexico via TRVL’s site or app. For those who don’t know, TRVL is (as the name implies) a booking and travel app that allows anyone to act as a travel agent. Locals and experienced travelers can leave…

The #AmazonShitCarShow is some of the best crap on Prime

Amazon Prime‘s marketing team recently fired some shots when it called one of the most popular automotive shows on the air today a “shit car show.” Even crazier is that the “shit car show” in question is one of Amazon‘s hit car shows – unbelievable! Amazon’s hit car show returns. Watch #TheGrandTour now only on Prime Video. #amazonshitcarshow — The Grand Tour (@thegrandtour) January 17, 2019 If you’re a petrol-head (we think that means “car enthusiast” in whatever language they speak in Great Britain) there’s only one TV show you need to be aware of: Top Gear (UK). But since it’s…

Facebook docs reveal a predatory policy for dealing with kids’ accidental purchases

A federal judge this week ruled Facebook must make public internal documents that reveal the rather unsavory ways the company allegedly profits off of unsuspecting children — as if the company’s history with kids wasn’t dubious enough. The whole shebang started in 2012, with a lawsuit against Facebook in which the plaintiff claimed it’d profited off of a child’s unwitting transaction. The child, referred to as I.B., said they didn’t know Facebook was storing their parent’s credit card information (the parent had authorized an initial $20 charge), or that they were paying every time they played their game. The parent asked…

Microsoft is euthanizing Windows 10 Mobile in 2019

Just a few days after announcing it would stop supporting Windows 7 soon, Microsoft is sounding the death knell for another of its products: Windows 10 Mobile. Starting December 10, 2019 your devices will no longer be able to receive security or software updates on the OS, and Microsoft will no longer provide support should issues arise. It’ll provide a bit of extra time for backups and such after that date, but Windows Mobile is basically dead. Of course, this was expected. Microsoft stopped working on Windows 10 Mobile back in 2017, and the company has instead focused on providing a…
