Uber‘s been let off the hook by prosecutors in a case involving one of the company’s autonomous test cars that fatally struck a pedestrian in Tempe, Arizona last year, reports Reuters. However, the back-up driver behind the wheel will likely be referred to local police for further investigation, and that could potentially see him face charges of vehicular manslaughter for the accidental killing of Elaine Herzberg. QuadrigaCX granted another extension to find lost $134M in cryptocurrency

QuadrigaCX, the Canadian cryptocurrency exchange embroiled in an ongoing mystery about the disappearance of $134 million in customers’ funds, has been granted an extension on its 30-day order for creditor protection. The troubled exchange was given another 45-day extension by Judge Michael Wood of the Nova Scotia Supreme Court, meaning creditors will be unable to begin legal proceedings against it during this time period. The judge also gave the green light for the appointment of a chief restructuring officer, who would be tasked with managing the exchange and its related companies while cooperating with EY to recover the missing customer…

Google just released a new Android app called Bolo (‘speak’ in Hindi) that’s designed to help children learn Hindi and English. It works completely offline, making it ideal for use in rural areas with poor mobile connectivity, and comes with a friendly voice assistant to guide kids through the included lessons aimed at primary grade students. The app, which is presented in Hindi, features several stories in both languages suitable for different reading levels. With the help of Diya, the virtual assistant, kids can learn to read by repeating the sentences she reads aloud. If a child finds a word…
