How to watch Elon Musk reveal Tesla’s Model Y SUV tonight

A couple of weeks ago, Elon Musk announced he would reveal the Model Y – Tesla’s more affordable SUV – on March 14. Well, guess what day it is? You’ll be able to live stream the event on Tesla’s website beginning at 8PM PT/11PM ET, and if you’re unable to catch it live, we’ll post a recording right here for when you get the chance. For now, the company posted this quick teaser that should give you a rough idea of the car’s shape, at least: Model Y Thurs 8pm PDThttps://t.co/9GmXGxH0HX — Tesla (@Tesla) March 14, 2019 Here’s what we…

CHEAP: This 1TB Sandisk laptop SSD is at its lowest price yet

When choosing your laptop’s internal storage, you historically had to decide between speed and capacity. Fast SSDs – at least, the ones you could afford – were somewhat limited in storage. Old-school mechanical HDDs, although excruciatingly slow, could at least contain an ungodly amount of songs and movies. But now, you don’t have to make that compromise. High-capacity SSDs are cheaper than ever. Take, for example, the snappily-named SanDisk SDSSDA-1T00-G26. This 2.5-inch SATA drive comes with 1TB of blazing-fast storage, with read/write speeds of up to 535MB/s and 450MB/s respectively. Of course, fast read/write speeds aren’t the sole perk of…

If the UK holds a second Brexit referendum, can it protect it from trolls and astroturfers?

Mar14
by Sindy Cator on March 14, 2019 at 9:17 pm
Posted In: Around the Web, UK

March 29, the day upon which the UK will leave the European Union, feels nail-bitingly close. Adding to the anxiety is that with the twice-fold rejection of Theresa May’s withdrawal deal, the UK is heading in one of two directions: the first is a chaotic no-deal Brexit, and the second is a second referendum, which would put the terms of the UK’s departure to a public vote. The first Brexit referendum was tainted by vast (and, some might say, criminal) electoral impropriety by elements in the Leave campaign. I won’t rehash the finer details here. If you’ve been closely following…

Left 4 Dead creator’s new zombie-shooting extravaganza is called Back 4 Blood

Mar14

Turtle Rock Studios, the development team behind co-op zombie shooter Left 4 Dead, today announced they’re developing a new game in partnership with Warner Bros. The game is — hold onto your butts — a co-op zombie shooter called Back 4 Blood. Back 4 Blood? More like Back 4 More, am I right? Neither company has released much info about the game thus far, save that it’ll be a “premium” title with both a campaign and PvP gameplay in which you’ll be able to “shoot up a lot of zombies.” Turtle Rock is adamant this isn’t Left 4 Dead 3, but team members have…
