Quotable

"U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said publicly that the United States would not intervene in Syria, because the American Congress views second generation Syrian dictator Bashar Assad as a reformer. Is that because his live ammunition is reformed, or because his state sponsorship of terrorism and repressive abuse of human rights and free speech are so humanitarian?" ~ Yasha Harari

It will only serve Bitcoin at the moment, though. UnionBank has not confirmed if it will offer other cryptocurrencies in the future. The ATM is located in “The ARK,” UnionBank’s first fully digital branch, launched back…

Yesterday, the Madras High Court, situated in the southern Indian city of Chennai, directed the country’s central government to ban TiKTok, the popular video creation app from Chinese giant Bytedance. The court said that the app “encourages pornography” and “the future of the youngsters and mindset of the children are spoiled.“ The court’s interim order also asked local media not to broadcast any videos shared via TikTok. More importantly, it sought a response from the government as to whether the authorities intend to introduce a law to protect children from cyber crimes, like the US’ Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act…

There’s big movements going on at Apple‘s audio wing. First, the Airpods were updated. And now? The Apple-owned Beats by Dre is getting its first pair of true wireless earbuds: the Powerbeats Pro. The last Beats headphones released in this range were the Powerbeats3 back in 2016, but a lot has changed in the industry since then. Wireless earbuds are everywhere, so it’s no surprise the Powerbeats Pro have emulated this change. Basically, it means they have the now familiar two-detached earbuds and charging case design. Amit Bhardwaj, a man accused of running a $300-million Bitcoin Ponzi scheme, has reportedly been granted bail on medical grounds, citing a deteriorating kidney condition. The former entrepreneur, who was arrested in Bangkok last year, was reportedly admitted into Apollo Hospital in India, maintaning he needed regular dialysis treatment to treat his condition. As previously reported by Hard Fork, Bhardwaj set up a series of Bitcoin mining firms, including GB Miners, Gain Bitcoin, and MCAP. As part of the scheme, he promised investors 10x returns for their money. Needless to say, none of his promises delivered and, instead, investors lost their hard-earned cash.…
