If you are someone like me, you would have gone through the pain of endlessly scrolling restaurants and dishes on an app before you found the one for the day. Or if you were lucky, you would have had your meal cooked by someone you love. Every day we make thousands of choices subconsciously. Some of them are active choices but most of them are implicit defaults. Influence of choices:Every choice that we…

A 22-year-old man in the US has been sentenced to two years in prison for selling hundreds of thousands of dollars in Bitcoin through an unlicensed money transmitting business. Jacob Burrell Campos, who had been in custody without bail since he was arrested in August last year, was also forced to forfeit $823,357 in illicit profits. Check the records – at pixel time, there have been at least 400,251,742 transactions sent via Bitcoin‘s independent, censorship-resistant, peer-to-peer electronic cash system. Right now, Bitcoin is averaging around 350,000 transactions per day. It’s blockchain is handling roughly 14,904 transactions every hour (just over four per second), with no down-time, and no holidays. Bitcoin is fitting more transactions into blocks than ever before Earlier in April, Bitcoin fans rejoiced as the cryptocurrency market finally saw positive movement, after its price broke $5,000…

QuadrigaCX, the cryptocurrency exchange which owes its customers $134 million in cryptocurrency following the unexpected death of its founder, is moving into bankruptcy proceedings. The company’s request to move into bankruptcy was approved by a Canadian Supreme Court yesterday. The move is intended to help reduce costs and ease the recovery of assets from creditors. It comes after a report by Ernst & Young – Quadriga’s court appointed creditor – said there was a ” remote” chance the company could emerge from restructuring, and that the investigation to recover assets could be handled more efficiently if it entered the bankruptcy process. Gerald Cotten,…
