Twitter turned eight last week, and a tool that locates your first tweet surfed that wave, becoming popular among users of the microblogging service. Following on from that is First Follow, a service from Socialrank that tells you the name/handle of the first person who followed you on Twitter. Personally, I think this is a lot more interesting than your first tweet since it isn’t something that you are in control of. twtrland
Social analytics platform Twtrland has been providing fancy stats about individuals for over a year, and today the Israeli startup behind it is launching a business-focused product called, unsurprisingly, Twtrland for Business. The new service provides the ability to track accounts on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, monitoring KPIs like brand impressions and the number of new followers against rivals’ performance. Music-tagging service Shazam has announced a new tie-up with dance music store Juno, one that will see millions more dance tracks added to Shazam’s database. This news comes a little more than a year after Shazam announced a similar deal to reel in Beatport’s arsenal of electronic music. With Juno opening its library to Shazam, this means more than four million electronic tracks will now be ‘taggable’ by Shazam’s mobile apps, and it also includes thousands of new releases that are only available on vinyl. “Vinyl music is seeing a resurgence in the industry, with sales at their highest for 15…

OnePlus has been teasing its first smartphone, simply called the ‘One’, for a few months now by drip-feeding features and specs in its forums. It promised to launch the device in the first half of 2014 and finally, the company has given a date for the handset’s grand unveiling: April 23. So what do we know so far? It offers a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor (the 800 version was confirmed before) a 3,100 mAh non-removable battery and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, doubled-up with a 6-megapixel version on the front. It will also feature replaceable ‘StyleSwap‘ covers…
