Games accounted for 60 percent of the $338 million in revenue that messaging app Line made in its most recent quarter and, in a reminder of the importance of its gaming business, the company announced that users have now downloaded over 300 million Line Game titles. UK mobile operator EE has introduced a new range of tariffs and a low-cost, own-brand 4G LTE-equipped handset for more price-sensitive consumers. Announced today, the new plans start from £13.99 per month and are available with a two year commitment. The operator also introduced new options available for users on 4G Extra and Business plans. Instagram passes 200 million monthly active users

Following the news that Facebook is seeing over 1 billion users of its mobile apps every month, Instagram has announced that it now has over 200 million monthly active users and more than 20 billion photos have been shared on the service. That’s up from the 150 million user mark announced last September. Twitter says it is looking into a bug that is causing some tweets not to be displayed. We experienced the problem on TNW’s account and have heard scattered reports from others. Incidentally, it looks like Ellen DeGeneres’s record-breaking selfie has gone missing, which, depending on how you feel about it, may or may not be a good thing.
