FB
Facebook today released the first major update to its Paper for iOS app, adding a slew of new features just 10 weeks after the initial launch. You can download the new version now directly from Apple’s App Store. First up, Facebook has added notifications for birthdays and events. Just like on Facebook, tap the globe icon to stay posted. Next, photo comments are exactly what you’d expect: sometimes words just aren’t enough to explain what you want to say. To add a photo comment, tap the camera next to the comments field, snap a picture, and post a photo as…

Tresorit today officially launched its end-to-end encrypted cloud storage service after emerging from its stealth beta. The startup employs multiple layers of security that make its data extremely difficult to compromise. One key advantage to Tresorit is that it doesn’t have a master key to your encryption, so, unlike what happened to secure email service Lavabit, it can’t be forced to provide access to your data. The startup is also based in Switzerland, which should help keep it out of reach of NSA court orders. Tresorit uses AES-256 encryption on the client side before your data is uploaded. It also…

Alana Muller is the President at Kauffman FastTrac, an organization that equips entrepreneurs with the business skills and insights, tools, resources, and networks to start and grow. This post originally appeared on the Clarity.fm blog. The entrepreneurial journey is full of twists, turns, ups and downs. That’s why you need the support of trusted advisors.  Take these examples: 1. The Accidental Founder Renee is in early stage mode. She has an “accidental business” – something that she happened upon as a result of her interest in helping people. To her surprise and delight, what started as a hobby, helping people decorate their…
