If you’re waiting for Google to release the Nexus 6, notorious smartphone leaker Evleaks has some potentially bad news for you. In a pair of cryptic tweets, the insider suggested that Google will abandon its Nexus line of devices in favor of an Android Silver program. There is no Nexus 6. Farewell, Nexus. [discussion: http://t.co/dMTT3g393q] — @evleaks (@evleaks) May 16, 2014 Don’t worry, there’s a silver lining to this cloud… — @evleaks (@evleaks) May 16, 2014 Android Silver, circa February 2015. Have you ever reformatted a computer and then immediately realized you shouldn’t have? Well, an “accident” at Emory University this week will make your mistake look like a brilliant, carefully considered decision. Here’s the crux of what happened: A Windows 7 deployment image was accidently sent to all Windows machines, including laptops, desktops, and even servers. This image started with a repartition/reformat set of tasks. As soon as the accident was discovered, the SCCM server was powered off – however, by that time, the SCCM server itself had been repartitioned and reformatted. What did we learn today? Always backup. Backup…

Paul Orlando is an entrepreneur, co-founder and director of AcceleratorHK, a mobile startup accelerator. He is the author of Startup Sacrilege for the Underdog Entrepreneur. I co-founded and ran a startup accelerator in Hong Kong, a city which was recently called the number one tech capital to watch by Forbes. That being said, Hong Kong is not yet what we’d call a tech hub. And neither are the thousands of other locations around the world that have emerging startup communities. With a deeper look at the attention paid to stories coming out of tech hubs and an evaluation of your local…

Restaurant (and other business) review site Yelp is currently down.
