Amazon is gearing up to add music streaming to its Prime offering as early as June or July, BuzzFeed reports. Before you get too excited, the selection is said to only include songs that are at least six months old. With Apple now jumping into streaming music through its Beats acquisition, this should be an interesting year for the space. Pixar offers RenderMan free to non-commercial users and drops price to $495

Pixar has announced a radical price restructuring of its RenderMan 3D and animation technology. With the upcoming version, the software will be free to non-commercial customers, and will cost $495 for individual licenses. The new version and pricing will go into effect during the time frame of SIGGRAPH 2014, the computer graphics trade show, which will take place in Vancouver from August 10-14. RenderMan, a visual effects tool for creating 3D animation and graphics for motion pictures and TV, has done this to encourage increased accessibility to the product for different kinds of users and to extend the reach of the technology. Microsoft and Salesforce.com partner to bring Salesforce platform to Windows, Windows Phone, and Office 365

Microsoft and Salesforce.com today announced a strategic partnership that will bring the latter’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) apps to Windows, Windows Phone, and Office 365. Neither disclosed terms of the deal, so it’s not clear if any money is changing hands. The two companies are planning to deliver Salesforce1 for Windows and Windows Phone 8.1 so that customers can access Salesforce and run their business from their Windows devices.
