Steve Ballmer, Microsoft’s former CEO, has found something new to do with this time. According to the LA Times, he just won the bid to become the new owner of the Los Angeles Clippers NBA team, . Ballmer will reportedly pay $2 billion for the honor, making the Clippers worth about 2/3rds of a Beats. The sale, which is pending approval, sets a record for the league. The Clippers went up on the auction block after current owner Donald Sterling was punished after a recording emerged of him making seemingly racist comments. Amazon is gearing up to add music streaming to its Prime offering as early as June or July, BuzzFeed reports. Before you get too excited, the selection is said to only include songs that are at least six months old. With Apple now jumping into streaming music through its Beats acquisition, this should be an interesting year for the space.
