Relish’s 4G broadband service for Londoners wants to kill line rental once and for all

Landline rental is one of the most frustrating aspects of being a broadband customer in the UK. A growing number of people never use a home phone and so the handset sits there in the house – unused or disconnected – as a mere trinket. Relish is a new service that promises “fibre-fast” home broadband using an ultrafast 4G network. The company promises speeds of up to 65Mbps, although CNET reports the average should actually be around 30Mbps. ITV channels arrive on Sky Go, giving UK subscribers live FIFA World Cup coverage on the move

Sky is bolstering its internet-based Sky Go service with access to a number of ITV channels. Starting today, subscribers can quickly tune into ITV, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4 and CITV whether they’re on a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop PC. ITV is a massive broadcaster in the UK and so its channel line-up should be warmly welcomed by most of Sky Go’s subscribers. In particular, it’ll give viewers access to ITV’s live FIFA World Cup coverage when the high-stakes tournament kicks off in Brazil later this month. Nintendo ports its first ever DS game to the Wii U Virtual Console, but only in Japan

Nintendo has kept to its word and started releasing DS games for the Wii U Virtual Console. Brain Age, or Brain Training as it was known in some markets, has been released for console owners in Japan as a free digital download until June 30. As the video below shows, the casual puzzle game uses the Wii U GamePad exclusively; the two screens from the DS are shown side-by-side on the tablet controller, mimicking the unique “book” set up that was required on the DS.
