As TVs get bigger, so do the price-tags. But now, a UK manufacturer is taking screen-sizes and the associated price-tags to astronomical new levels, with what it’s calling the “world’s first £1m ($1.7m) television”. While that ‘world’s first’ claim may not be strictly true in itself, it’s certainly true that British TV maker Titan has a colossal (both in size and price) set on its hand. The 370-inch monster is roughly the size of a football goal, and it’s perhaps more apt describing this thing in meters – it’s 8m x 5m, for the record. The TV sports 65 billion…

BELGIUM-EU-INTERNET-ANTITRUST-BUSINESS-GOOGLE
Google has launched a new hub focused on preserving street art which houses a permanent showcase of more than 5,000 different images of artworks from around the world. The company says that by its very nature street art is transient, which means that if you miss it, you miss out. Now, however, the Google Art Project provides access to a some of these artworks online, so you don’t physically need to visit the locations in order not to miss your chance. But don’t worry, you won’t see badly scrawled tags all over the place. For launch, there are more than 5,000 images across 100 different…

Amazon’s Whispersync for Voice has been around for a while already, letting users switch effortlessly between reading e-books and listening to audio books without losing their place. Thus far, however, users of the Android and iOS apps have required the Amazon-owned service Audible app to make this switch. With today’s updates, however, Amazon is bringing Audible into the main Kindle mobile realm, which means you can now switch immediately between reading and listening with a single tap, without leaving the book. This will be handy for those walking home, for example, who then wish to lie down in bed and…

front-view
Thalmic Labs is one step closer to unleashing its MYO gesture control armband on the world. The company today revealed the final design for the device, which lets you control and interact with technology using only your fingers and hands. The prior design looked quite bulky, with a solid strap that covered the entire circumference of your arm. In the new version, Thalmic Labs has cut the armband down to “nearly half the thickness” and used a new design that reveals more of your skin. A zigzagging line connects each block in the MYO armband, giving it a futuristic and…
