Twitter Goes Public On The New York Stock Exchange
Twitter appears to be testing a dedicated WhatsApp share button inside its mobile apps. A number of screenshots, mostly from users in India, were tweeted earlier today showing the experimental feature running inside the company’s Android app. In some instances it can be seen at the top of the screen, next to the search icon. In others, it’s located next to the existing share button underneath the tweet itself. Normally, you would need to tap the generic share button to quickly post a tweet on Facebook, WhatsApp, or any other connected Android app. Back in April, WhatsApp CEO Jan Koum…

Five years ago, when Chris Stang and Andrew Steinthal were two music executives frustrated with the grandiosity of food criticism, they self-published a review of Manhattan’s Gemma. Their outlet was the Infatuation — a blog, traditional by then — but the tone was something new. Of course, five years online is quite some time, and since then, Stang and Steinthal have built up a significant following by coupling this tone with advances in technology. In addition to their blog,…

In an interview with Bloomberg Business Week, Sundar Pichai, Chief of the Android Division revealed that Google would be previewing the next version of Android tomorrow at Google I/O. Pichai told Business Week that the decision to preview the operating system at the developer event in San Francisco instead of in the fall was a desire to be more transparent about what the company is doing sooner. The next version of Android is expected to follow the Android naming protocol. An alphabetical naming structure based on delicious desserts. The current version is KitKat, so tomorrow we’ll see something that starts with…

Pebble continues to update its e-paper smartwatch, despite the approaching threat of Android Wear. Today the firm announced a new partnership with Misfit, the company behind the Shine fitness tracker, giving Pebble users the ability to count their steps and track other activities with the wrist-worn wearable. Pebble has teamed up with fitness specialists before, including RunKeeper, Strava and Puma. This latest effort transforms the Pebble and Pebble Steel into a full-blown pedometer though, putting pressure on other fitness wearables such as the Nike+ FuelBand, Fitbit, Jawbone UP and Samsung Gear Fit. The Misfit watchapp is available right now in the…
