Rumors that Facebook has been working on a cryptocurrency haven’t exactly flown under the radar. And with the latest revelation, the Facebook cryptocurrency machine looks set to step up a gear. Facebook has issued a statement on how it removed fake accounts originating from Israel that ran Facebook Pages, Groups and Instagram accounts that carried false information looking to influence elections in several African countries. This forms part of Facebook looking to redeem itself and act proactively in its fight against having its platforms used to spread fake news, especially politically motivated fake news. In its statement, Facebook has said that it noticed “co-ordinated inauthentic behavior” originating from Israel targeting Nigeria, Senegal, Togo, Angola, Niger and Tunisia and that led its staff to investigate further. “Today we removed 265 Facebook and Instagram accounts, Facebook…

Cybercriminals and hackers are more aggressive than ever these days. With advanced technology, breaches are increasingly common, which puts companies and their customers at risk of fraud and identity theft. To avoid this, businesses need to be extra careful with how they handle and store customer data. This isn’t always an easy task, though. To help highlight some approaches that work, we asked the experts of Young Entrepreneur Council the following: What are some good customer data habits companies should have in place in order to limit the amount of damage a hack can do? Here is what they advise: 1. Collect…
