3D is already gunning for a space on the consumer desk. But now it’s also coming to the mobile space with Itseez3D, a 3D scanner app for the iPad. Itseez3D allows iPad users to convert ordinary objects such as furniture, shoes, toys, and even people, into 3D models. The app works in concert with Occipital’s Structure Sensor ($499, available for pre-order), a snap-on hardware device launched as a Kickstarter project last fall. (Occipital is also behind the 360 Panorama photo app as well as a Structure companion app, both also on the App Store.) “The app is targeted to consumers so that anyone who has an iPad…

It says: “Forget.me helps you to easily find all your irrelevant, outdated, or otherwise inappropriate information that is publicly available on…

It has been a long time coming, with rumors going back at least two years, but Barnes & Noble has confirmed that its board has authorized the separation of its retail and Nook Media businesses. Back in January 2012, then-CEO William Lynch said that Barnes & Noble was looking to “pursue strategic exploratory work to separate the Nook business” from the rest of the company, adding: “We see substantial value in what we’ve built with our Nook business in only two years, and we believe it’s the right time to investigate our options to unlock that value.” Now, this is…

GoSquared, a real-time Web analytics company, has launched a revamped version of its platform geared around giving users quicker access to the most powerful and frequently used features. The move follows a complete retooling of the platform almost a year ago to focus more on visitor growth and engagement and today’s update is aiming to make GoSquared more valuable to an entire business, rather than just ‘the analytics guy’, the company’s CEO and co-founder James Gill told TNW. However, where most companies would throw new features at the perceived problem, GoSquared is focusing on what it already has first. “[The release] is all about making…
