Today Twitter announced that is agreed to acquire mobile-advertising firm TapCommerce. This is the second bit of advertising news from the social network today. The first being it was opening up Mobile App Promotions to all advertisers. In a blog post about the acquisition VP Global Online Sales, Richard Alfonsi wrote: Together with the TapCommerce team, Twitter will be able to offer mobile app marketers more robust capabilities for app re-engagement, tools and managed service solutions for real-time programmatic buying, and better measurement capabilities. Microsoft today flipped the switch on its new Xbox.com profile pages for Xbox One gamers. The new feature creates a profile for your Xbox One activity, including achievements, friends and game clips. Speech recognition specialist Sensory has announced TrulySecure, a new biometric technology that monitors your face and your voice in order to authenticate you on your smartphone, PC or tablet.
