Samsung was “urgently” looking into fresh allegations of child labor at a supplier’s China factory last week, after New York-based watchdog China Labor Watch (CLW) accused the Korean company of employing underaged workers at Shinyang Electronics. Now Samsung has just announced that it has “temporarily suspended business with the factory in question” after it indeed found evidence of child labor at the factory. This comes despite Samsung earlier saying that it didn’t find any cases of child labor even after conducting audits on three occasions since 2013, with the latest one ending June 25 this year. “In the separate investigation following the…

Google is inviting iPhone and iPad owners into its augmented reality game Ingress after it finally launched an iOS app. The Android version opened to all last December, and now it has quietly made its way into the App Store without an official announcement from Google — save this Google+ post from gamer Fevenis Silverwind of Niantic Labs, the Google-run company that operates the unique game. For those who are unaware of it, Ingress is a mobile-based alternate reality game in which players are part of either the resistance or enlightened teams battling to collect and control the powerful ‘Exotic Matter,’ which is virtually located…

10-steps-that-increased-our-conversion-rates-by-talking-to-customers-624x338
David Arnoux is Head of Growth and co-founder of Twoodo, helping teams organize using simple #hashtags. This post originally appeared on the Twoodo blog. One of the greatest lessons of the past few months is that when building a SaaS company you shouldn’t overlook the soft data just because it’s not hard data. This is especially true when following lean methodology. Talk to your customers, always. Especially if you are serious about increasing your activation rate. Okay, so that’s easy to say, but what does it actually mean and how do you implement it? I’d like to share with you the tips, tricks and…

Marty Puranik is the CEO of Atlantic.Net. Disrupt. Disruption. It seems this has now become the raison d’être for this generation’s startup scene. TechCrunch proudly uses the moniker to describe its two coastal events: Disrupt NY and Disrupt SF. It’s a brand that has now expanded to Europe and China. Quod erat demonstrandum.
