Ever wondered what was the number one on the Billboard Charts in 1920? Nor us, either. But, out of interest, it was a song called ‘Dardanella’, by Ben Selvin & His Orchestra. A new Music Hack Day project aims to provide questions like this with an accurate answer, exploring a century of the Billboard Charts. General Assembly is bringing its tech scholarship program to Los Angeles and San Francisco

General Assembly, a New York-based startup that offers educational courses in a wide range of technology-related skills, is expanding its scholarship program to Los Angeles and San Francisco. The ‘Opportunity Fund‘ was announced in April as a pilot scheme for New York City, but it seems the company is already prepared to expand the program. The new fund is aimed at women, war veterans and minorities – specifically African-Americans and Latinos, according to General Assembly. Those who are accepted onto the program will receive an $8,500 grant for the company’s three-month Web Development Immersive course. Standard tuition normally costs $11,500, so…
