Internet Market Considers MIcrosoft Bid for Yahoo

Earlier this month, Facebook quietly tweaked its advertising policy to help advertisers and potentially annoy users. The company emailed ad agencies to let them know that brands can now serve more ads per day to the News Feed, within certain constraints. Digiday obtained the email Facebook sent to advertising agencies. Here is the crux of the changes, which went into effect on August 6: A single ad can be inserted in News Feed up to twice per day (up from one). If you own an Apple TV, there’s a new way to get your fix of the National Football League (NFL) this season. NFL Now, a new streaming service announced earlier this month for connected set-top boxes, is now available on Apple’s black hockey puck. The NFL is promising game highlights, live conferences and various shows. NFL Now Plus subscribers, who need to fork out $1.99 per month, will also gain access to instant in-game highlights and the…

social-media-psychology

This post originally appeared on the Buffer blog. One of my favorite things about social media is that it’s still such a young and new form of communication. It feels too early to take anything as a given, so we’re all experimenting, testing and learning together. Every day seems to bring exciting new studies as research shows us more about how social media is changing the way we relate to one another, share information and even form our identities. App promotion features arrived on the Google Display Network in June at the company’s I/O developer conference, and now the app install ads are also available. The company claims that in “just 3 easy steps,” anyone can use the simplified campaign set-up flow to promote their app on…
