Magisto for Android now lets you assemble 15-second videos to share on Instagram

Israeli startup Magisto has introduced a neat new feature to its Android app, geared towards short-form video enthusiasts. In a nutshell, the uber-popular app lets users upload video clips and have them automatically transformed into a slick home movie, with Magisto choosing the most compelling moments. Now, Magisto for Android is helping its users share movies directly into Instagram. And today, the internet giant has announced a slew of new Street View imagery on Google Maps, covering the monuments and history of Ancient Egypt. Naturally, this includes the Pyramids of Giza and the Giza Necropolis, as well as the human-lion hybrid – the Great Sphinx. It’s official: Rocket Internet is going public with a $970m IPO in Germany this year

Rocket Internet, the European incubator-cum-global-super-cloner, has confirmed rumors that it will list on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange before the end of the year. The Berlin-based company plans to raise €750 million, around $970 million, by offering primary-only capital — that means no existing shareholders will cash out. The company — which says it wants to become “the largest Internet platform outside of the United States and China” — has been busy on the investment front in recent weeks. Back in June, Apple announced Swift, a new programming language for iOS and OS X, and the reaction in the developer community was generally positive.
