British television broadcaster Channel 4 will rebrand its on-demand television streaming service, 4oD, as “All 4″ early next year. The new name will also be used to launch a revamped service that splits content into three areas: On Demand, Now and On Soon. Now, as soon as you start typing the first letter or two from the name of a show or actor, Netflix automatically shows relevant matches alongside their associated cover art in a grid-like format. Down the left-hand colum, a list of the associated cast and crew are displayed which, when clicked, takes you to all the content each person has been involved with (that’s available on Netflix). Interestingly, you can also now just type in ‘Netflix’, and…

Gumtree

The eBay-owned classified listings platform Gumtree has launched a new iPad app today in line with its redesigned, responsive desktop site as it revamps its mobile strategy to keep up with competitors. The company said the new site was built on feedback from users and allows for easier viewing and navigation, and that it makes for easier cross-device usage. On the iPad side of things, the new app allows users to post a new ad in just a few clicks – essential if it wants to drive usage – and filters for searching through ads based on the most recent…
