MyFitnessPal partners with Adidas to sync miCoach data to its nutrition app

Calorie counter service MyFitnessPal has announced an integration with Adidas that will add support for data syncing from the miCoach platform. With the integration, you’ll now be able to automatically import data from miCoach devices, which include smartwatches and heart rate monitors. Since miCoach tracks the calories you burn in your workout, you can match that up with the calories you’re consuming to see how you’re doing with your weight loss goals. The combination of MyFitnessPal and miCoach plays to each respective product’s strengths. while MyFitnessPal offers exercise journal features, it has always been best for logging what you eat….

Unity Pro video game engine is now free for all licensed PlayStation developers

Unity is making the premium version of its video game engine and development platform free for all licensed PlayStation developers. Unity Pro normally costs $1,500 or $75 per month as part of a subscription, and builds on the company’s entry-level package with additional features related to video game graphics, animation, deployment, editing and more. Fiksu’s iOS 8 Activity Map reveals activations and usage in real-time

With the first iOS 8-focused apps starting to reveal themselves as we ready for the public launch of Apple’s new mobile OS, app marketing company Fiksu will be tracking iOS activations and usage via this data visualization tool. The data is garnered from millions of iOS devices running Fiksu client apps and will update every ten seconds. ‘In-app’ events include things like in-app purchases, app launches, and registrations. You’ll be able to view launch comparisons between iOS 8 and previous versions, as well as a breakdown by iPad and different versions of iPhone, although these charts will only update every hour….
