Digital wallet startup Clinckle finally launches — but only for college students

It looks like Clinkle is finally live. The pre-paid card app is currently limited to college students and features a social aspect called “treats” which could be used to refund your last purchase. The iOS and Android app allows students to send cash to each other like Venmo, but also has a physical pre-paid debit card. Whenever a student swipes the card seven times, they earn a treat which they can then send to a friend with a photo and caption. Apple acquires digital magazine startup Prss

Apple confirmed that it has acquired digital magazine platform Prss. The startup, launched a year ago at TNW USA conference, helped publishers create iPad versions of their magazines. Originally reported by Dutch language site, iCulture, the startup’s talent and resources could be rolled into Apple’s iBook Author tool. The tool currently helps users create digital books for Apple’s iBook ebook storefront. The Waffle app lets you remix your friend’s photos a la the Brady Bunch

The photo app space is crowded. There are a few thousand Instagram clones and from there it just turns into a filtery, selfie mess. Waffle is pouring itself (waffle pun) into this heated machine and hopes its four-up remixing of friends photos will set it apart. The Waffle app starts with a friend sending you a square (called a Waffle) with four square images inside. It looks like a smaller version of the Brady Bunch title sequence. Former Apple retail chief Ron Johnson reportedly launching gadget delivery startup
