Jordan Roland is a staff designer and illustrator for the Shutterstock blog. This post was originally published on the Shutterstock blog and has been reprinted with permission. There are a few types of projects that most, if not all, designers will jump at the chance to work on. At the top of that list is album art (which, even in physical form, is still a thing). It’s safe to assume that most people have yet to devote a single thought to thermal imaging — and there’s a good reason for that. Up until now, that rarified technology has been the exclusive (and expensive) province of law enforcement, firefighters, contractors, boating pros and the military. But that is starting to change.
