Today, new laws came into effect legally allowing the use of copyrighted films, TV shows or music in parody works without fear of litigation, provided the parody couldn’t be confused – or compete – with the original version. And while few could argue that Cassetteboy‘s response to the new law competes with the originals as delivered, we’re sure you’ll agree that this mashup of speeches by the UK Prime Minister David Cameron far surpasses them in many ways. The New York Times to ‘wind down’ its NYT Opinion app

The New York Times has said it will begin to wind down its experimental NYT Opinion app for iOS devices amid wider newsroom job losses. The publisher announced the changes today, saying that “it had not drawn a substantial audience” among paying New York Times subscribers. It also noted that NYT Now, an app aimed at younger users, was also not performing as well as the company had hoped it would – there was no imminent suggestion of it being closed though. In short, the Surface Pro 3 and Type Cover keyboard bundle is available at a 10 percent discount. Microsoft is pulling back the curtain on a new service called Sway, which makes it easy for anyone to make interactive, well-designed and easily shareable projects on the Web.
