Microsoft has today announced a raft of updates for its still new Office Mix presentation and teaching tools. Among the new features is an option to pause recording part way through, to ensure you pick your words correctly and say exactly what you mean, and a new ‘erase ink’ feature, if you want to carry on dictating over the same slide but add new content to it. Apple releases iOS 8.1 with Apple Pay and SMS Relay, brings back the Camera Roll too

As promised, Apple has released its iOS 8.1 update, which brings back the much-missed Camera Roll, enables Apple Pay on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices and adds support for sending text messages from your Mac. With iOS 8.1, you can test the iCloud Photo Library beta. You can find the 117MB download in the Software Update settings on your iOS device. Apple first announced iOS 8.1 last week at its iPad and Retina iMac event. iOS 8.1 also includes a number of bug fixes for Messages, WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity, screen rotation, Safari and accessibility.

First Spotify, now Pandora wants to reward listeners with ad-free music for engaging with brands

Internet radio streaming service Pandora has announced a new Sponsored Listening offering, letting brands give listeners a full hour of ad-free beats in exchange for a little engagement. Available in the US, Australia and New Zealand, Pandora serves up music from across a multitude of genres for free, though you can cough up $4.99/month to remove the ads. With Sponsored Listening, you’ll be asked to watch a short video, visit a brand’s website or engage in another similar ‘interaction’.
