With social media taking an increasing role in the modern world, social analytics services are seeing a significant boost in demand and, therefore, revenues. A good example is Socialbakers, a six-year old Prague-based company that has raised $34 million in funding to date and has grown to over 300 employees in 13 offices all over the world. You can now watch Sky TV live on your PlayStation 4

Google’s Nexus 6 is available to buy in the UK from today

While the generously-sized Nexus 6 is already available in the US, it seems to have missed its slated UK arrival date of December 1. Now, however, one major UK network is offering it for sale, with others saying it’ll still be another week or two before it arrives. O2 confirmed today that the device is available on its unbundled ‘Refresh’ tariff at a range of price points offering between 500MB and 8GB of data usage each month. The operator is also running a Nexus 6-specific promotion until December 18 making the total cost £38 per month (with no upfront payment) for unlimited…

It’s almost time for Apple’s Christmas closedown so app developers better hurry

As it does every year, Apple is closing iTunes Connect, Application Loader and iTunes Connect for iOS for Christmas. The services will be unavailable from Monday, December 22, through Monday, December 29. The closure means developers will not be able to submit new apps, updates or in-app purchases.
