All-new Foursquare app officially arrives on the iPad

Today, Foursquare launched its revamped iPad app after officially separating Foursquare and Swarm earlier this year. The app also comes with a Top Picks section to recommend up-and-coming events, newly popular joints and local favorites. Microsoft Sway now available for all, gets new features

Microsoft’s Sway, a new tool for telling your story without the hassle is now available for all to use without invitations. The company said in the ten weeks since Sway’s preview website launched, it had 175,000 requests to join and a million unique visitors. Sway is also getting a number of new features today following user requests. Microsoft has added undo and redo, bulleted lists, direct text editing on the canvas, easier reordering, PDF import and more. After The Pirate Bay was brought down by Swedish authorities last week, it seemed like this time the popular torrent website might actually be down for good. That might be true according to an interview given by the site to Torrent Freak. In the first public statement on the raid since it happened, TPB crew member Mr 10100100000 comments,“We were not that surprised by the raid. That is something that is a part of this game. BT confirms it’s in exclusive negotiations to buy EE for £12.5 billion

BT has announced that it has entered into exclusive negotiations to acquire EE. It confirmed last month that it had begun talks with the mobile network with discussions also taking place with O2. The new talks will last several weeks, giving BT time to complete due diligence and for a definitive agreement between the companies. BT wants to acquire EE predominantly for its 4G network. While the terms aren’t fixed yet, BT says it’s looking to purchase EE for £12.5 billion on a debt/cash free basis. EE’s joint owners, Deutsche Telekom and Orange, would each gain stakes in BT.
