Twitch announces Music Library for broadcasters to use without getting into trouble

When Twitch started scanning its streams for copyrighted music back in August, a lot of people were left unhappy – no one wants to watch a a stream only to have the audio get muted. To remedy this, today Twitch is announcing Music Library, a selection of 500 songs for streamers to use. The songs can be used for both live and archived content. Partner labels include Mad Decent, Dim Mak, Spinnin Records, OWSLA, Monstercat, Fools Gold and more. WWE Network streaming service powerslams into Europe and the UK

The WWE Network, the wrestling entertainment company’s subscription streaming service, has launched in the UK and Europe, reports Pocket-Lint. The service had a false start late last year but is now live. You can watch online from your browser or in your living room through apps for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, PS3 and Xbox 360. On mobile, there are apps for Kindle Fire, Android and iOS. Subscriptions cost £9.99 per month in the UK and €12.99 per month in Europe. Vimeo teams up with Disney-owned Maker Studios to launch exclusive content

Vimeo has signed a deal with Maker Studios to create exclusive content from the network’s online video stars. The partnership will see Vimeo funding and distributing original content from Maker creators via Vimeo On Demand throughout 2015. Maker’s 55,000 creators will also get access to the VOD platform and discounted Vimeo PRO accounts. Maker Studios is home to a number of the world’s most popular online stars including Pewdiepie and Epic Rap Battles of History. It was acquired by Disney late last year for over $500 million. Vimeo recently added 4K uploading for PRO accounts and redesigned its mobile site.…
