Skype’s Qik messenger, a tiny app for sending quick video messages, today received an update that lets you easily share your videos outside the app. The update adds a new share menu that lets you use the phone’s built-in share screen to send your videos to whatever service you want, without needing to save them to your phone. With iPhoto’s days clearly numbered, it was only a matter of time before Apple pulled us all aside and told us that its professional photo app, Aperture was being taken to a nice farm in the country where it could frolic with other totally-not-dead-just-retired apps. Facebook relies heavily on advertising to make money, so keeping its advertisers happy is important. Today, the company announced a new ‘relevance’ score for its ad reporting tools. The new metric is essentially Facebook’s estimate for how well an ad will perform with its target audience. The higher the predicted number of positive interactions (think video views, clicks, etc) the higher your score will be. A week after the news dropped that Microsoft was acquiring calendar app maker, Sunrise Atelier, the companies have confirmed the acquisition via a YouTube video that has since been made private.
