Do you want to make the most of your event? Bizzabo’s new platform wants to help with that. Launched today, the Event Success Platform allows users to plan, execute and track their events from start to finish in one place. Bizzabo claims this is the first all-encompassing tool of its kind and aims to rid organisers of the hassle that goes with employing several different tools for running their events. Using the platform, organizers are able to sell tickets, launch an event app, initiate email marketing campaigns and build networking communities. As well as organizing the event, you can use it…

altc
Single-purpose devices might have started dying a long time ago – digital cameras and dictaphones certainly don’t sell in quite the same numbers now as before smartphones came along, for example – but single-purpose apps have been increasingly popular since the noisy launch of Yo last year. Alt-C is another such one-trick pony, though it has a far more utilitarian purpose than sending a random Yo to your friends: it lets you copy text and links back and forth between your Android phone and Windows PC. It’s a lot like PushBullet’s universal copy and paste function, without all the other frills PushBullet…

Neptune Duo
We’re now used to the idea of smartwatches relaying information from our phones to our wrists. The Neptune Duo is turning the concept on its head: it’s a wearable smartphone with a secondary display you can stash in your pocket. The Neptune Duo consists of two parts. The Hub is a device you wear on your wrist that runs Android Lollipop to make and receive calls. The Pocket is a 5-inch touch display that connects to the Hub, allowing you to view and interact with apps and content. The thinking is that the Hub will be less easily misplaced than…

Greenland
You can now explore spectacular 360-degree views of Greenland’s most-striking spots from the comfort of your home using Google Street View. UNESCO World Heritage site and popular tourist destination, the Ilulissat icefjord  and ruins of the first viking colony in Brattahlid, established by Erik the Red in the year 982 are among the first set of views on offer of the world’s largest island. If that’s not enough, you can also explore the Norse ruins of the Hvalsey Church and Nuutoqaq, a colonial harbor boasting glorious vistas, fjords and historical monuments to local heroes. Google has created a dedicated page to…

Yandex accuses Google of breaking antitrust laws in Russia

Yandex
Search company Yandex has accused Google of breaking antitrust laws in Russia. The company has submitted a petition to the country’s Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) calling on it to investigate the claim, reports Tech.eu. Yandex’s central complaint is that Google bundles its mobile search engine and other services with the Android OS. It accounts for 86 percent of the smartphone market in Russia. In an official statement, the company says: Google’s practices relating to Android have been the subject of investigations and lawsuits in many jurisdictions around the world. Google is the owner of Android, the dominant global mobile operating…
