The last time we wrote about The New York Times’ NYT Now iOS app, which curates ‘must-read’ content from the newspaper and beyond, it was to note that the news organization was disappointed with how it was performing. It comes as no surprise then that the NYT has decided to can the current monthly subscription of $7.99 and relaunch the app as a free product. Huawei has announced the newest flagship to join its smartphone range today in the form of the Ascend P8, a successor to 2014’s P7 device. The handset keeps the same solid metal chassis as previous models. The company said it has a “completely flat” design to make it sleeker, stronger and more comfortable to hold. Hardware wise, it offers up a 5.2-inch full HD display and a 4-color (RGBW) 13-megapixel camera with OIS. Most cameras use a 3-color sensor, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, said. The camera also has three dedicated selfie modes, like helping you fit a group of…

If that’s private, the app gives you the option to grant access to Tinder alone, though that slightly defeats the point of having a locked account in the first place. There is also a new ‘common connections’ feature which shows how connected you are on Facebook – whether you share a…

Taking on-demand services and laziness to a whole new level, a London based robotics company has created a robot for your kitchen that will cook you dinner from scratch. The robotic sous-chef will have 2,000 recipes programmed by then and you will be able to select what you’d like through an accompanying app. You can select and tailor your recipes to suit your needs by adjusting the time you have, listing your allergens, how many calories…
