Deliverd meal
There’s no shortage of tech-infused ways to get a meal delivered. Postmates and Deliveroo will pick up a dish from a local restaurant for you; GrubHub, JustEat and the like do the same for takeaway food, while subscription services like NatureBox and Graze can send you a steady stream of snacks. Deliverd is entering the market with a UK-focused service that delivers healthy, freshly prepared lunches – but the interesting part is how they’re prepared, and the advantage this could give the startup against its competition. Developed at the Dotforge Social Ventures accelerator in Sheffield, northern England, Deliverd has its meals prepared…

shazam-feat
As Shazam teased earlier this year at CES, the company is planning to expand beyond its music recognition technology and into the visual space. Today, the company officially launched “Visual Shazam,” an interactive experience that users can obtain by scanning various products, QR codes or print ads. Shazam is launching this feature with a few partners from various industries, including Levi’s, Guerlain, Hearst, Condé Nast, Time, Harper Collins and Disney in promotion of its new movie, “Tomorrowland.” To find a Shazam-able ad, look for the Shazam logo with the camera icon. You can use the Shazam app to scan the visual, then…

pixelmatorfeat
The day has finally arrived for Pixelmator fans who have long looked forward to an iPhone version of the app. It is finally here. While Pixelmator wisely decided to tackle an iPad app for its first foray into the mobile space, there was plenty of clamor for an iPhone version — not surprisingly. Pixelmator’s new iPhone app comes complete with photo, drawing and painting tools in addition to letting you work with layers, text, shapes and an assortment of creative elements. TNW got its paws on the pre-release version yesterday, and tried it out on what is now considered a diminutive iPhone 5. Without stretching the imagination, I’ll concede that navigating Pixelmator’s…

The $49 Lenovo Cast looks like Apple TV and Chromecast had a baby

Lenovo has announced a host of new products, the most interesting – besides its crazy new projector phone – is the Lenovo Cast, which will mirror your Android device’s screen on your TV. The puck-shaped device looks like an unholy cross between Apple TV and a Chromecast. It hooks up to your telly via HDMI. Rather than using proprietary tech like the Chromecast, Lenovo Cast relies on the Wi-Fi alliance’s Miracast standard and DLNA, both of which are supported by most modern Android devices. That means the device should be able to mirror your phone or tablet’s display, acting as a wireless HDMI connection.…

Gaana dot com
Update: Since our story broke, Gaana has taken its site offline and the exposed database isn’t returning search results when we queried it with test data. Indian music streaming service Gaana, which has over 7.5 million monthly visitors, has been comprised by a hacker and its user information database is now exposed. The hacker, who goes by the moniker Mak Man and appears to be based in Lahore, Pakistan, posted a link to a searchable database of Gaana user details on his Facebook page. Enter a user’s email address and it spits out their full name, email address, MD5-encrypted password, date…
