File this under ‘Awesome’ — Lego maniacs can now turn their photos into pixelated murals with Legoizer. Just go to the Legoizer site where a Web app lets you drag any photo you want over the converter window. In an instant, you will see a pixelated Lego version of your picture complete with a list of all the Lego pieces you will need to re-create it, line-by-line instructions on how to build it, and the dimensions of the final product. I found pictures look more Lego-y than others: the more complex the image and the more variety of colors it has makes…

Camera+UpdateiOSTNW
Camera+ for iOS received an update today, making it much easier to take a selfie — even with an Apple Watch. For those with an Apple Watch strapped to their wrist, Camera+ now has a remote shutter button. You can even use the timer feature so you have time to perfect your cheesiest smile. While you can tap the screen to snap a picture, it doesn’t offer a live view of what you’re actually actually shooting the way the watch’s stock camera app does. If you’re still taking photos the old fashioned way, Camera+ now has a dedicated selfie button in the…

Drones at lower altitudes may soon be tracked via cellular towers, if Verizon and NASA have a say in the matter. Documents obtained by The Guardian show a $500,000 deal between the carrier and NASA which will “jointly explore if cell towers and communications could possibly support Unmannned Aerial Systems (UAS) Traffic Management (UTM) for communications and surveillance of UAS at low altitudes.” NASA will begin testing an air traffic control system for drones this summer, which will monitor drones using radar, satellite and cellular signals. Verizon plans to start testing its cell tower tracking system for drones in 2017. Verizon’s plan…

Sometimes it’s a little difficult to switch off, to put down the phone and ignore the little blinking light. The end result is that you check it hundreds of times per day, most likely. I know, because, well, I’ve counted. Now, however, there’s a new app called Flipd to help cut down on the amount of time you spend sending emails, messages, talking, swiping your way through everyone on Tinder. Whatever it is that you spend your day doing. Of course, it’s by no means the first – there’s BreakFree, Menthal, Phone Addict and widgets like Nomophobia, among others, to help you curb your addiction – but…
