Google says it translates more than 100 billion words a day, shows off improved conversational results

Google claims that its Translate service is used on over 100 billion words a day. However, it hasn’t been as useful in translating casual conversation as with official documents until now. The company says it’s been working with thousands of people in its user community to improve translations. It recently rolled out an update to better handle informal speech, instead of only returning literal translations. In the example above, Google’s service recognizes that the phrase entered by a user is conversational and returns a more useful result than a literal translation. Facebook has launched its Ads Manager app for Android to allow marketers to create and track campaigns on the go. The app lets you set up new ads with text and images, edit existing ads, and adjust your selected audience settings, budget and schedule on your device. In addition, it notifies you when your ads are about to end as well as when you’ll hit your spending limit. You can also see how much you’ve spent at any time.
