Quotable

"Tony Hayward spent the day before Father's Day yachting with his son around the Isle of Wight, England. He got his life back, and left Carl-Henric's 'Small People' to spend their Father's Day drowning in BP's crude mess. That's proof that it takes a lot of nerve - and no conscience - to run a big oil company." ~ Yasha Harari

explosionsss
July 4 — and a plethora of fireworks — is upon us. The Consumer Product Safety Commission would like to remind you to stay safe, and have destroyed some mannequins to illustate just how dangerous fireworks can be. The video, which you can see below, shows a series of circumstances you don’t want to be in. Don’t shoot bottle rockets at each other’s eyes or hold exploding M-80s, kids. And definitely don’t lean over a firework that’s going to shoot into the air and explode. If mannequins are any indication, it’ll blow your head clean off of your shoulders. Come…

online banking
Unless you’re really into personal finance, talking about banks with your close friends and family might not be the most fun topic of conversation. And while searching on Google does bring up numerous reviews, tips and advice from experts, it still doesn’t make the decision making process all that simple. MyBankTracker wants to change all that by providing an easy-to-use tool that evaluates your financial needs to recommend the right bank. All you have to do is answer a handful of questions and rank the most important features you need from a bank, such as 24/7 customer service or low rates. The data…

employee

This post was brought to you by Somewhere, helping you to grow your resume with a profile that tells the story of your career.

Even if you wholeheartedly enjoy your job it can be just the little things that push your satisfaction level from delight to discontent. Unsatisfied? Do something about it. Human resource professionals, company leadership and employees alike, take cues from companies that consistently rank among most loved by their employees. Their successes can inspire a shift from sad to happy faces, making the office a more enjoyable place and…
