Microsoft’s Visual Studio reaches its 1.0 release
Microsoft’s Visual Code Studio, announced at last year’s Build conference, has reached its 1.0 release. In announcing the milestone, Microsoft notes Visual Studio is “about more than features.” In the year it’s been around, Microsoft has worked with the community to make it more stable and secure, noting it’s fixed “hundreds” of bugs along the way. The company also says there are now over 1,000 extensions for visual Studio, which “provide support for almost any language or runtime in VS Code.” It’s also fully localized, and ships in nine languages.
