Instagram to introduce advertising in the UK in ‘the coming weeks’
As promised back in June, Instagram is preparing to show ads for UK users soon. Charlotte Williams spotted a PSA-style sponsored post from Instagram announcing the roll-out: ‘Sponsored Posts’ coming soon to #Instagram in the UK.. pic.twitter.com/j1MZdSkITM — Charlotte Williams (@WilliamsCE) September 16, 2014 Instagram also plans to begin displaying ads in Canada and Australia later this year. Facebook declined to comment on timing for those countries, but they don’t appear to be included in the UK launch.
