LG bucks struggling Android trend with record shipments and highest revenue since 2010
LG is bucking the trend of struggling Android smartphone companies like Samsung and HTC, after revealing that is shipped a record 14.5 million smartphones in the second quarter of 2014. That’s a 20 percent increase on one year previous. The company isn’t just shipping more phones, it says that mobile sales for the period were its highest since 2010, coming in at $3.51 billion.
