T-Mobile and the FTC have settled the ‘cramming’ (adding unwanted third-party charges to a phone bill) suit brought against the carrier in July. The settlement requires T-Mobile to pay at least $90 million in refunds to customers who were unwittingly charged by third-parties. In addition to the refunds, T-Mobile must also pay $18 million in penalties to the attorney generals of all 50 states and the District of Columbia and $4.5 million to the FCC.
