We got to test out the device for a couple of hours before the official launch and it’s certain that Vivo aims to wow people with its design, display, and massive camera sensor. Before we share our thoughts on the device. Let’s take a look at the Nex 3’s impressive spec sheet: Specifications Screen: 6.89-inch full HD+ POLED waterfall display Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ RAM: 8/12GB Rear camera: 64-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture…

Why efforts to get kids into STEM could be making education inequality worse

Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education is a priority for governments around the world. For example, the UK’s current commitment to increasing investment in research and development to 2.4 percent of GDP by 2027 means that we need to train 260,000 more researchers to carry out this work. There has long been a perceived shortage in such skills and knowledge. And this drives policy measures in education, skills and immigration to address the situation. In their STEM strategies, governments are increasingly focused on addressing the large disparities in participation between different social groups. For example, in the UK only…

Vivo launched its ambitious Nex 3 5G flagship phone in China today with waterfall display and triple-camera on the rear. Taking a page from its Apex Concept phone, released in March, the phone features no buttons and relies on pressure sensors for power and volume buttons. Plus, it has six antennas arranged in a way that doesn’t block signals regardless of how you hold the phone. To make its waterfall display that curves all the way almost to the…

Ah, CBD. You can barely browse about health online without coming across this chemical and its supposed benefits. But it’s not just people who are taking CBD to experience its benefits: some people are giving it to their pets too. Because we’re intrepid, caring souls at TNW, we just couldn’t give a drug to our pets. No, we had to try it first. So, we, uh, did. Before we do that though… What the hell is CBD? Good question. To put it simply, it’s the part of the marijuana plant that doesn’t get you high. CBD is a shortened version…

The cryptocurrency market is a confusing place at the best of times. All that complicated technology and all those names of coins that aren’t Bitcoin. There’s a lot to take in, but worry no more. Meet CoinMarketCrap. A knock-off of, you guessed it, popular cryptocurrency market information site, CoinMarketCap. It appears the site launched earlier this year. CoinMarketCrap neatly does away with all the posturing and gesticulating in the cryptocurrency market for a simpler approach. Where only two types of coin exist: Bitcoin and Shitcoins. Clearly, whoever created the site is a fan of Bitcoin. Rather than listing each cryptocurrency…
