It’s oft-repeated that artificial intelligence will be a danger to our jobs. But perhaps in a not-so-surprising twist, AI is also being increasingly used by companies to hire candidates. According to a report by The Telegraph, AI-based video interviewing software — such as that developed by HireVue — are being leveraged by UK companies for the first time to shortlist the best job applicants. “Unilever, the consumer goods giant, is among companies using AI technology to analyse the language, tone and facial expressions of candidates when they are asked a set of identical job questions which they film on their mobile…

We’re just two weeks away from Google’s big Pixel 4 reveal on October 15. But it’s not a Pixel launch if the phone’s not leaked a gazillion times before then. So, we’re going to take a look at what we know about these devices so far. We know that there are going to be two devices: the Pixel 4 and the Pixel 4 XL. This year, Google tried to control leaks by giving out an early glimpse of the device in June. The photo posted by Google confirmed that the upcoming flagship is going to host a dual-camera setup on…

Two men have pleaded guilty for conspiring to launder money using Bitcoin after selling marijuana on the dark web. Connor Brooke and Aidan Curry, 25 and 23 respectively, gave their plea in federal court yesterday. The pair agreed to forfeit “tens of thousands of dollars worth of cash, cryptocurrency, and [computer hardware]” that was used to commit the crime, the Times of San Diego reports. Brooke and Curry ran a series of dark web enterprises, one of which sold marijuana while the other allowed  people to buy cryptocurrency for cash at a premium. In a text message, Curry described the perpetrators’ cryptocurrency transfer…
