Blessed be the relaxation powers of a CBD bath bomb

Like much of the world, the Netherlands is going through a second lockdown. Admittedly, our shutdown hasn’t been intense as many others across the globe, but it still is uniquely stressful to be confined. Then we have the mental impact of the past few months piling up — and it’s easy for everything to feel a bit much. Which is why I’m stoked about discovering the joy of CBD bath bombs. But let’s backtrack a little. If you don’t know what CBD is (which is odd, because it’s been a health craze for years now), it’s the non-psychoactive element of…

Neutron star collision should have formed a black hole — but a ‘magnetar’ appeared instead

On May 22, 2020, light from a titanic explosion deep in space reached Earth. The energy seen by astronomers told of the collision of a pair of neutron stars, creating a kilonova explosion. This event, releasing more energy in a half-second than our Sun will produce in 10 billion years, left a rare object behind in the debris. When astronomers examined the eruption, they found evidence of a magnetar — an ultradense neutron star, roughly the size of a city, housing a powerful magnetic field. I’m still going to need your insurance information… The discovery — the first time a…

Gamers and Mac fans, rejoice! Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft will run natively on Apple Silicon from day one. This update was delivered to the world on Blizzard’s forum. In it, the company stated that support will be arriving coming in this week’s patch, specifically 9.0.2. The post goes on to say that World of Warcraft will run natively on ARM64 architecture, rather than operating under emulation on Rosetta. What this means for you, the Mac-toting WoW lover, is that your MMORPG of choice should run slickly and smoothly on Apple’s new machines. Of course, there are likely to be…
