Samsung held its Unpacked event today, and true to myriad rumors, the company announced a couple of new folding phones, a fancy watch, and its latest take on its noise-canceling earbuds. Here’s a summary of the best news of the day. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 Third time’s the charm, as the Z Fold 3 seems to take significant steps to address people’s biggest complaints about the series. Samsung did not announce a new Note series phone today but instead brought a stylus to the Fold family. The Z Fold 3 is compatible with a special S-pen that retracts to…

At second glance, I smell shenanigans. The video clearly shows two separate…

We thought it’d never see the light of day, but we’ve finally gotten a good look at Apple‘s AirPower wireless charging pad. Unfortunately, it’s not via Apple — AirPower is still canceled. Instead, The Verge was able to access images of an AirPower prototype, courtesy of developer and Apple prototype collector Giulio Zompetti. It’s a glance at a dream that never was. Zompetti said he was able to buy the prototype — which is missing its outer shell but is otherwise functional — from e-waste sources in China. The device features a “heavy” metal chassis, and packed 22 charging coils…
